What is a peanut thresher?
A peanut thresher, commonly referred to as a peanut picker machine, is a specialized device designed to extract peanuts, also known as groundnuts, from their shells or pods. Peanuts, being a type of legume that grows underground, require removal from their outer covering after harvesting before they can be processed or consumed. The peanut thresher serves this purpose by separating the peanuts from their shells, making further processing or consumption possible.
The peanut thresher is a machine specifically designed to fulfill the threshing requirements of the agricultural industry. It is engineered to separate peanuts from their shells efficiently and effectively. With three models available, ranging from 550kg/h to 3500kg/h, the peanut picker machine can meet the needs of all levels of farmers.
What is the working principle ?
The working principle of the peanut thresher is straightforward. Once the machine is running normally, peanuts are put into the hopper quantitatively, evenly, and continuously. The repeated blows, frictions, and collisions of the rotor break the peanuts and their shells. The rotating wind pressure and blow of the rotor filter and separate the peanut shells and grains through a screen with a certain aperture. A large-hole screen is used for the first threshing of peanuts, while a small-hole screen replaces it for the second peeling of small skin fruits after cleaning. The peanut shells and grains are blown out of the machine body by the blowing force of the rotating fan. The heavier peanut grains are then screened through a vibrating screen to achieve the purpose of cleaning.
Significance of peanut thresher in modern agriculture
The introduction of the peanut thresher has revolutionized the peanut harvesting process in modern agriculture. Traditional agricultural practices involved separating peanuts from their shells manually, which was labor-intensive and time-consuming. However, with the advent of threshers, efficiency and productivity in peanut cultivation and processing have increased significantly.
Peanut threshers allow farmers to process large quantities of peanuts quickly with minimal physical labor, increasing yields and reducing post-harvest losses. This improvement in efficiency has also led to an increase in profitability for farmers. In addition, the machine is able to finely separate the peanuts from their shells, ensuring a high-quality product that meets the needs of both domestic and international markets.
