The structure of scraper peanut shelling machine

According to the shelling principle of scraper peanut shelling machine, peanuts pass through the hopper, shelling box, grid, outlet of lower box, specific gravity separation sieve, sorting mouth and peanut collecting bucket from top to bottom in turn, which forms the basis of the design on the overall structure of peanut shelling machine.

The design process is from the top down. It starts from the collection of peanuts. The top is the hopper and the shelling box is below the hopper. The hopper can be designed as a whole with the shelling box. In the shelling box, peanuts are shelled through the impact and extrusion of the scraper, so the scraper is designed to be placed in the shelling box. Then, peanuts pass through the grid at the bottom of shelling box. Thus, the grid is designed into a semicircle grid cage and fixed to the bottom half of shelling box. After passing through the grid, peanuts fall from the outlet at the bottom of shelling box. In the process of falling, the entry of a fan blowing is designed to separate peanut shells and kernels through it. Peanut kernels with heavier weight would not be blown away, while peanut shells with lighter weight would be blown into the peanut shell collection channel by the blowing air. The bottom of the channel is designed with a certain angle. After separation, peanut kernels fall into specific gravity separation screen and bring the kernels upward, while peanut without shelling would be sent downward into the second shelling channel by the fan for the second shelling, finally peanut kernels are collected in the upper opening of specific gravity separation screen.

In order to ensure the installation of each part of the machine, it is necessary to design a frame for bearing, positioning and connection of several other parts, and the motor is installed in the frame and the peanut shelling machine is installed on the top of the frame. The structural diagram is shown in figure 2-1.

Working principle
Scraper peanut shelling machine, also known as bar-cage sheller before, is a mechanical equipment to crush the shell of peanuts through extrusion and impact of scraper on the axis of rotation and the cage bar. It is characterized by simple structure and easy operation. The peanut shelling machine is mainly composed of feeding mechanism, shelling mechanism, sorting mechanism and supporting mechanism.

peanuts in the hopper fall into the shelling box through the the lower slot in thin layer and collide with the scraper in high speed rotating. Under the hammering of the scraper, peanut shells fracture for the first shelling. Some peanuts have no collision with scraper in the falling process or peanut shells did not crack during collision, these peanuts fall into the grid with round steel rods. Since the space between the grid top and rotation diameter of the scraper is not enough for a peanut, therefore peanuts would be crushed by the scraper again when falling in the grid, which would make the shells been crushed. After shelling, kernels and shells drop through the clearance between the grid and blowing through the airflow of the fan at the same time of falling. Thus, shells in light weight would be sent into the shell collection channel by the airflow, and peanut kernels continue to fall to the gravity separation screen and then sent upward. peanuts without shelling fall into the channel for secondary shelling by the fan again so as to achieve the kernel separation and the shelling rate is higher.
