Peanut sheller is often used for the shelling of peanut. It is composed of the feeding hopper, frame, fan, rotor, motor, screen, vibration sieve, belt pulley, transmission belt and other components. In the operation of peanut sheller, peanuts are fed into the hopper of peanut sheller uniformly and continuously. Then, they would be crushed under repeated strike, friction and collision of the rotor. After that peanut kernels and broken peanut shells would be filtered and separated through the screen under the rotating air pressure of the rotor. Then, peanut shells would be blown out of the peanut sheller by the fan, while peanut kernels would pass through the vibration screen.
1. Preparation before use
Peanut shelling machine should be connected with three-phase power supply of 380v before use, then start the motor and observe whether the running direction is consistent with the direction of indicating arrow. If inconsistent, exchange any of the two connectors in the power supply to make the direction the same with indicating arrow.
If the machine parts can work properly without abnormal sound in the test run, then the peanut sheller can be put into production.
Before feeding, sorting the peanuts according to different varieties and sizes can greatly improve the production efficiency and reduce the breakage rate.
Drying the peanuts in the right time to keep appropriate moisture content can reduce the breakage rate.
2. Management in the work
Feeding of peanut sheller should be kept evenly in the operation process.
If high broken rate is found in the operation, the operator can stop the machine and adjust the bearing seat of high speed roller to adjust the clearance between the shell rollers, making it adapt to different peanut varieties. Then, adjust the tensioning wheel before starting the machine again.
The rotating speed of blade in the cleaning fan can be adjusted. If the cleaning is found not thorough or excessive, the rotation speed knob in the fan can be adjusted to control the cleaning degree.
3. Maintenance
When using the peanut sheller, the operator should pay attention to the working of different parts and check the bolt looseness of each part. Tighten the loose part timely, especially the part in high speed rotation.
At the end of the processing season, the machine should be checked thoroughly, and then clean up the debris inside the peanut shelling machine, add lubricating grease and cover with a kraft paper for the use of the next season.
